Mr. Chertoff, tear down that wall!

I’ve heard some wacky rationalizations for racism. Now it seems, the United States wants to keep Latinos from entering the country because they apparently litter. Don’t believe me? Read on.

Michael Chertoff, Homeland Security Chief wants us all to believe we need a fence between us and Mexico because without it, people who enter the country will discard whatever trash they carry along. Wacky, but true, see: http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D8S0MJG00&show_article=1.

Assuming for a moment that this illogical argument has some logic to it, maybe we should apply Mr. Chertoff’s reasoning to environmental issues existing in this country without the assistance of immigrants.

A fence around nuclear power plants and mercury-spewing coal burning factories? Right on. Landfills that poison water supplies? Fence it. Every household in the United States not practicing at least some form of recycling and reuse. You got it, roll out the chain link.

As with all silly and nonsensical rationalizations for bigoted acts, this stuff is not to be believed. The United States is building a fence along the border for one simple reason. Our government has determined it doesn’t appreciate people coming to this country to live the American dream. Sorry, save it for the white people already here.
